Pilates as a fitness form was invented by Joseph Pilates in the early 20th century. At our centre, we follow the Pilates repertoire of Michael King, London (established in 1980) and offer you both Matwork and Equipment based training.
Michale King has created his unique method by taking the latest evidence-based research and applying it to the Joseph Pilates technique. Using the original goals of the method, he believes the technique must be adapted to ‘best fit’ the needs of the individual whether working with the mat work or types of equipment without compromising on any stated goals by Joseph Pilates.
Pilates practised correctly can help you stabilise your local muscles essential to build a strong core to progress in the Pilates practice. This regime helps in improving concentration, control, flow, precision, balance and breathing.
